Asbestos surveys Chester

Professional Asbestos Surveys in Chester

Armco provides professional asbestos surveys in Chester and across Cheshire for commercial, industrial, public-sector and residential properties.

Our experienced asbestos surveyors carry out asbestos management surveys and refurbishment and demolition surveys, helping property owners, businesses and duty holders identify asbestos-containing materials and manage them safely.

Which Asbestos Survey Do I Need?

An asbestos management survey is generally used to identify and manage asbestos-containing materials during the normal occupation and use of a building. It can help duty holders understand where asbestos may be present and manage the associated risks.

If you are planning refurbishment or demolition work, a refurbishment and demolition survey may be required to identify asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed during the proposed work.

If you only need a particular material checked for asbestos, rather than a full survey, Armco also provides asbestos sampling and testing in Chester.

Not sure which service you require? Contact our team and we can help you determine the appropriate type of asbestos survey or testing for your property.

What You’ll Receive With Your Asbestos Survey

Following your asbestos survey in Chester, you will receive a detailed report identifying any known or suspected asbestos-containing materials found during the inspection.

Your asbestos survey report will include information on the location, type, extent and condition of asbestos-containing materials, together with photographs and recommendations where appropriate.

Where samples are required, these will be analysed by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory to confirm whether asbestos is present and identify the asbestos type.

The information provided in your report can then be used to help manage asbestos safely, plan future maintenance or refurbishment work and, where applicable, maintain your asbestos register and management plan.

As well as asbestos surveys in Chester, Armco provides professional asbestos sampling and testing when you only need to determine whether a specific material contains asbestos.

One of our trained surveyors can visit your property, safely collect samples of the suspected material and send them to an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory for analysis.

Results are usually available within 24–48 hours and you will receive a report confirming whether asbestos has been identified.

If you only require testing rather than a full asbestos survey, find out more about our asbestos testing service in Chester.
