Armco Asbestos Surveys
Armco provides professional asbestos surveys in Birmingham and across the West Midlands for commercial, industrial, public-sector and residential properties.
Our experienced asbestos surveyors carry out asbestos management surveys and refurbishment and demolition surveys, helping property owners, businesses and duty holders identify asbestos-containing materials and manage them safely.
Whether you manage commercial premises, are responsible for a public building or are planning work on a residential property, we can help you determine the appropriate type of asbestos survey for your requirements.
The type of asbestos survey you require will depend on how the property is being used and whether any refurbishment or demolition work is planned.
An asbestos management survey is generally used to identify and manage asbestos-containing materials during the normal occupation and use of a building. It can help duty holders understand where asbestos may be present, assess its condition and manage the associated risks.
If refurbishment or demolition work is planned, a refurbishment and demolition survey may be required to identify asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed by the proposed work.
If you’re unsure which survey is appropriate, contact Armco on 0121 296 7687 and we’ll help you determine the right approach for your property and planned work.
Whether you are buying a historic property near St Philip’s Cathedral, managing a retail unit on the High Street, or planning a major redevelopment in Digbeth, Armco provides the local expertise you need to stay compliant.

Following your asbestos survey in Birmingham, you will receive a detailed report identifying any known or suspected asbestos-containing materials found during the inspection.
Your report will include information on the location, type, extent and condition of asbestos-containing materials, together with photographs and recommendations where appropriate.
Where samples are required, these will be analysed by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory to confirm whether asbestos is present and identify the asbestos type.
The information provided can then be used to help manage asbestos safely, plan maintenance or refurbishment work and, where applicable, maintain your asbestos register and management plan.
