Download free copy of ‘Managing Asbestos in Buildings’

The article provides a link to the website offering the free download of a free HSE publication entitled 'Managing Asbestos in Buildings'.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE)’s website is offering a free download of their leaflet entitled ‘Managing Asbestos in Building’ aimed at people who own, manage or have responsibilities for buildings which may contain asbestos. This includes all non-domestic buildings, whatever the type of business, and the common areas of domestic buildings, e.g. halls, stairwells, lift shafts, roof spaces. The guidance does not apply to other domestic properties.

This leaflet has been revised to include changes to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. It combines two leaflets: ‘A short guide to managing asbestos in premises’ and ‘Manage buildings and you must manage asbestos’. You can download it using the following link: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg223.htm

Here at Armco we are committed to ensure that The Duty Holder adheres to the asbestos related legislation and offer the required Management Survey detailed in the publication. This Survey will identify any asbestos in your building and present this to you in a technical report which adheres to the legislative guideline, making recommendations as to any removal, remedial work or labelling to be implemented. The report will advise as to the risk level associated with the asbestos containing material (ACM) and the necessary inspection cycle thus allowing you to create the legally required asbestos register.

We provide a service to carry out the required inspections as well as Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, asbestos related training and, removal and remedial works on ACM’s. Call the Armco office on 0161 763 3727 or navigate the website for further details.
