Boy to shave his hair off for charity Mesothelioma UK

A young boy called Lenny, aged 11, is shaving all his hair off in memory of a friend he had that died of  the asbestos cancer, mesothelioma.

Lenny has been growing his hair for the past 6 months now, and will have all of his hair shaved off the day before his 11th birthday, which is in 1 week’s time.

He has set up a fundraising page on JustGiving and all the money he raises will go to Mesothelioma UK, a charity that supports people affected by Mesothelioma to improve experiences and outcomes.

You can donate to Lenny’s fundraising page by following this link:-  Lenny’s fundraising page

Who are Mesothelioma UK?

Mesothelioma UK is a national resource centre dedicated to providing free specialist information, support and improved care and treatment for people suffering from the asbestos cancer, mesothelioma.

The charity rely’s totally on public donations, legacies, fundraising and sponsorship for financial support, so any amount of money they receive makes a huge difference.

On their website, Mesothelioma.uk.com, they have a number of different information resources available, with links to commercial and national bodies that may be able to provide further support.

Why not get involved and arrange a fundraising event of your own?  Or if you are having a wedding or party of any kind, how about asking your guests to donate to the charity instead of buying you gifts?
